African Proverb says - “If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” We want to make a good base for the AI community in Montenegro, which will help all of us to go far and achieve many goals.
Our community already gathers open mind, successful people, who are happy to meet you, hear your story, and support you. 

 

Why is community important? What is the power of community? Our community can motivate and inspire students and young people at the beginning of their careers. Furthermore, it will support professionals by allowing direct contact with experts in different AI fields.

<h3>Dangerous habits </h3>
 
Dear reader, through this text I will try to look at very serious problems that are increasingly present on social networks. I assume you use them a lot? How often do you ask yourself if the time You spend for them could be used better? I often have these questions in my head. Do you have the thought that you will delete all social networks, and then you forget about it as if you never remembered it. What's behind it, have you ever wondered? You think, some interesting news will appear, I won't see it. Maybe one of my friends contacts me, and I don't answer him even after half an hour. He will be angry. Really? Or does something inside cause you to think that way?
 
Have you seen the movie Social Dilemma? If you haven't, take a look because it will help you make some of the decisions I'm about to write about. If so, are you perhaps the main character from the movie? What do you think, do you have the strength and will to deal with the invisible behind the screen? Do you ever ask yourself why you scroll through posts on Instagram? Half an hour, an hour, two hours, three hours? How did you feel when you realized how much time you irretrievably wasted in not so meaningful scrolling? Do you see the senselessness and danger in that? Is it really irrelevant to you that you spent two hours scrolling through who was skiing, swimming, at dinner? It is very important whether Marko Marković visited Madagascar, isn't it? And then another hour before bed. I believe that you are not very interested in that, but you are scrolling again. Do you watch those very 'instructive', short, Reels videos or TikTok? Why not play a short educational video instead? It's too long, it's not interesting, I don't have time for that, you say to yourself. If you regularly use social networks, you spend at least three hours out of sixteen hours, when you are physically awake, scrolling through posts. You do that almost every day. Then you spend about twenty hours a week, more than eighty hours a month, and watch out now, almost a thousand hours a year! Do we see the damage we are doing to ourselves? Should we ignore all that, and pretend to be blind to this data? Now let's try to calculate how many books can be read in a thousand hours a year. If someone reads twenty pages an hour, isn't that twenty thousand pages a year? Uh, when I'm writing this, I'm also surprised at the number we've reached. Well, that's even one hundred books of two hundred pages each! Remember your excuse. I don't have time, the day is short to be able to achieve everything I want to achieve. True, it is probably short, especially in this time of high speeds. But by getting rid of some habits, each of us can use our time a little more meaningfully. We have to be a bit pessimistic or perhaps realistic. It is not easy, suddenly, without gradual changes, processes, discipline, to implement such a drastic turn. Are you really going to turn the three hours you spend on social media into three hours of useful and meaningful activities for your life? Probably not at full capacity. Try to be more honest with yourself. Be more aware of what you invest your time in!
 
I have tried, like many, with different approaches and successes. I think the key mistake is to take drastic steps, such as suddenly stopping using all social networks. Isn't it the same with diet? You start suddenly, you achieve a result. After a certain period of time, you become even fatter than ever. Why? Lose motivation, will, attention wanders. It should be a gradual process, right? I was never particularly addicted to social networks, but when I noticed that sometimes I spend up to 3 hours on the phone screen, it woke me up, made me aware. So far, I've managed to halve the time I spend on social media and use it for more meaningful activities. Reading, research, deep thinking, Spanish course, solitude.
Let's go back one step, to analyze the screen of our phone that we look at every day. We should not have any great fear of that screen, but we should be alert, that is, aware of its dangers. Although we should also be aware of the benefits. Not everything should be viewed so terribly and negatively. However, I focused more on the negative in order to wake you up a bit, and myself in the moments when I write this. Isn't the screen an example of an iceberg? It is very impressively described in the movie Social Dilemma that I mentioned earlier. I must point it out because of its importance to you. Aren't some of the most talented researchers, businessmen hiding behind that screen (iceberg)? Their goal is to keep you glued to the screen for as long as possible. For some scientists, it is a personal challenge, because they prove to themselves that they can control human behavior. I believe they feel some kind of power or supremacy. The businessman keeps you close to the screen as long as possible because the more you are connected to the screen, the more he benefits financially from you. Every ad you look at is a profit for him. Be aware that you are not fighting against the screen yourself, but against the big noof highly successful scientists, programmers, and businessmen. You alone against them all? Can you beat them? Isn't it a very difficult and challenging fight? One against a hundred, or maybe one against a thousand.
 
I will not go deep into how the artificial intelligence, which monitors your activities, is capable of controlling and manipulating you. He often knows you better than you know yourself. It is not so difficult today because we think that we know ourselves better and better, and isn't it the opposite? Doesn't all technology distract us from that, make it harder for us to know ourselves? Then it is not that difficult for her to overcome you. This is not a criticism of technology, this is a criticism of me and you who use it so that it controls us, not us. As long as we manage it, we will have the numerous benefits it provides us. Be aware of it, let it always be in your mind. Why don't you pick up your phone now and see how much time you spend on social media? Are you surprised? I was, and quite a bit.
 

<h3>The second part - a dangerous word </h3>
I have to send you another message that I want you to feel, analyze and be aware of. Do you use the Facebook application and how much do you read comments on this platform? Maybe you don't use it because it's not trendy anymore (that makes me happy). Do you read or perhaps post comments on portals? Do you notice anything striking? Do some comments provoke you to state your position, to enter into a discussion? Do you think that the various posts you follow on social networks are changing your nature? Do we notice an incredible number of offensive comments that appear there, and what is quite worrying is that many of these comments remain permanently visible. Someone might say that it is freedom of speech, that everyone has the right to express their opinion without taking any responsibility for it. What happens when such comments start moving into reality? Is real and virtual confused? Is what I put out there completely separate from what I implement in the real world? Why does someone who is not allowed to say something publicly say it virtually and so skillfully? Why is someone not the same person in reality and virtual? Shouldn't the virtual be integrated into the real? Lots of tough questions. With these messages, I draw your attention to the incredibly present hatred and negative emotions that are very widespread in comments on portals, and Facebook stands out in particular here. My opinion is that there is an incredible level of negativity spreading through the Facebook platform that is very poorly controlled.
A study (source) conducted in America describes a drastic increase in the polarization of attitudes between Republican and Democrat voters. This split is becoming more and more obvious with the current emergence and development of social networks. The correlation does not seem to be coincidental but quite clear. The growth of the number of users on social networks and the development of these platforms has led to the growth of polarization in the society in the USA. If we were to conduct a similar research in our region, I assume that the conclusions would be similar. Today, it is possible to say almost anything, to offend on any basis, and in the end nothing. But doesn't that have consequences? Doesn't it transform some weaker persons? I feel very irritated when I see what is available to the users of this platform when I open the comments. In this section, I do not want to talk about the reactions that are left to comments and news and about fake news. We will soon find out how serious these problems are, and how weak the protection is, and we are already learning a little bit today.
 
So what should we do? What is the solution, is there one at all? I don't know that, but I try to be aware of it. Maybe we have already lost without noticing it yet. Maybe I'm too subjective, pessimistic. Maybe you don't agree with what I wrote.
 
<h3>Conclusion</h3>
As digital anthropology is a fairly young field, I think that the series "Black Mirror", the film "Social Dilemma" together with the book "Digital anthropology" and many other similar contents contribute to a better understanding of the nature of man in relation to the machine. It is clear how challenging this is, and that understanding these connections will drastically affect changing human nature, culture, and everything that accompanies these concepts. As philosophy is more and more important to us today, so is anthropology, which should help us to a large extent in overcoming contemporary difficulties. Can we see how important anthropology, philosophy and ethics are in merging the virtual and the real world? Informatics, especially artificial intelligence, calls out for anthropology, philosophy, ethics. If you are a computer scientist, do we try to develop tools to create benefits for people? Or is it (almost) all for the sake of generating as much profit as possible? Our modern society has never lacked philosophy. There is not enough of it. Who is guilty? Maybe we computer scientists are guilty of that too. We go too much into technical details, we do what is asked of us professionally, and the essence is not analyzed. It is not analyzed whether what I am doing will bring benefitsto society, to the individual, the focus has already been redirected to the fulfillment of functional requirements. To fulfill the set goals as quickly and qualitatively as possible. Maybe we should think about how to help young people, students, philosophy, an incentive to create a more humane society.
Technology is a good servant but a bad master. We should be at least a little more aware of that.

<h3>Opasne navike </h3>
 
Poštovani čitaoče, kroz ovaj tekst pokušaću da se osvrnem na veoma ozbiljne probleme koji su sve prisutniji na društvenim mrežama. Pretpostavljam da ih često koristiš? Koliko često sebi postavljaš pitanje da li vrijeme koje za njih utrošim možeš bolje iskoristiti? Meni se ova pitanja često motaju po glavi. Da li ti dolazi misao da ćeš obrisati sve društvene mreže, a onda na to zaboraviš kao da se toga nisi nikad sjetio. Šta se krije iza toga, da li si se nekad zapitao? Pomisliš, pojaviće se neka zanimljiva vijest, ja je neću vidjeti. Možda me neko od prijatelja kontaktira, a ja mu ne odgovorim ni nakon pola sata. Ljutiće se. Oće li stvarno? Ili te nešto iznutra izaziva da tako razmišljaš? 
 
Da li si gledao film Socijalna dilema? Ako nisi, pogledaj jer će ti pomoći da lakše doneseš neke odluke o kojima ću pisati. Ako jesi, da li si možda ti onaj glavni lik iz filma? Šta misliš, imaš li snage i volje da se izboriš sa nevidljivim iza ekrana? Postaviš li sebi nekad pitanja zašto listaš objave na Instagramu? Pola sata, sat, dva sata, tri sata? Kako si se osjećao kad si uvidio koliko vremena si nepovratno potrošio u ne tako smislenom listanju? Uočavaš li besmislenost i opasnost u tome? Da li je za tebe stvarno nebitno da si potrošio dva sata listajući o tome ko je bio na skijanju, plivanju, na večeri? Vrlo je bitno da li je Marko Marković bio u posjeti Madagaskaru, zar ne? Pa onda još sat pred spavanje. Vjerujem da te to mnogo ne zanima, ali opet listaš. Da li gledaš one jako ‘poučne’, kratke, Reels snimke ili TikToku? Zašto ne upališ umjesto toga neki kratki edukativni video? Predug je, nije zanimljiv, nemam vremena za to, kažeš sebi. Ako redovno koristiš društvene mreže ti trošiš bar tri sata od šesnaest sati, kada si fizički budan, na listanje objava. To radiš gotovo svakog dana. Onda ti trošiš oko dvadeset sati nedeljno, više od osamdeset sati mjesečno, i pazi sada, skoro hiljadu sati godišnje! Vidimo li kakvu štetu pravimo sebi? Da li da sve to zanemarimo, i pravimo se slijepi nad ovim podacima? Ajde sada da probamo da izračunamo koliko knjiga se može pročitati za hiljadu sati godišnje. Ako neko čita dvadesetak stranica u satu, zar nije to dvadeset hiljada stranica godišnje? Uh, kada ovo pišem i ja se čudim do kakvog broja smo došli. Pa to je čak sto knjiga od po dvjesta stranica! Sjeti se svog izgovora. Nemam vremena, dan je kratak da bih sve mogao da postignem što želim postići. Istina, vjerovatno jeste kratak, posebno u ovom vremenu velikih brzina. Ali odvikavanjem od nekih navika svako od nas vrijeme može malo smislenije koristiti. Moramo biti malo i pesimisti ili možda realisti. Nije lako, iznenada, bez postepenih promjena, procesa, discipline, sprovesti ovako drastičan zaokret. Da li ćes stvarno tri sata koje koristiš za društvene mreže pretvoriti u tri sata korisnih i smislenih aktivnosti za tvoj život? Vjerovatno ne u punom kapacitetu. Probaj da budeš iskreniji prema sebi. Bude svjesniji u šta ulažeš svoje vrijeme!
 
Ja sam pokušao, kao i mnogi, sa različitim pristupima i uspjesima. Mislim da je ključna greška krenuti drastičnim koracima, kao što je nagli prekid korišćenja svih društvenih mreža. Zar nije slično i sa dijetom? Kreneš naglo, postigneš rezultat. Nakon određenog vremena od zavšetka dijete budeš još deblji. Zašto? Izgubi se motivacija, volja, odluta pažnja. To bi trebao da bude postepen proces, zar ne? Ja nisam bio nikad neki poseban zavisnik od društvenih mreža ali kada sam uočio da nekad i do 3 sata provedem na ekranu telefona, to me razbudilo, osvijestilo. Za sada sam uspio da prepolovim vrijeme koje provodim na društvenim mrežama i iskoristim ga u smislenije aktivnosti. Čitanje, istraživanje, dublje razmišljanje, kurs španskog jezika, osama. 
Vratimo se jedan korak nazad, u analizu ekrana našeg telefona koji svakodnevno posmatramo. Ne treba imati ni neki veliki strah od tog ekrana, ali trebamo biti budni, odnosno svjesni njegovih opasnosti. Mada trebamo biti svjesni i benefita. Ne treba sve posmatrati ni tako strašno i negativno. Ja sam se ipak fokusirao više na ono negativno da bih te malo razbudio, a i sebe u trenucima dok ovo pišem. Zar ekran nije primjer ledenog brijega? To je veoma upečatljivo opisano u filmu Socijalna dilema koji već ranije pomenuh. Moram ga isticati zbog njegovog značaja za tebe. Zar se iza tog ekrana (ledenog brijega), ne kriju neki od najtalentovanijih istraživača, biznismena? Njihov cilj je da te zalijepe uz ekran što duže. Nekim naučnicima je to lični izazov, jer sebi dokazaju da mogu kontrolisati ljudsko ponašanje. Vjerujem da osjećaju neku vrstu moći ili nadmoći. Biznismen te drži uz ekran što duže jer što si ti više povezan sa ekranom, on ima veću finansijsku korist od tebe. Svaka reklama koju ti pogledaš za njega je profit. Budi svjestan da se ti sam ne boriš protiv ekrana, nego protiv velikog broja veoma uspješnih naučnika, programera, biznismena. Ti si sam protiv svih njih? Da li ih možeš pobijediti? Zar to nije vrlo teška i izazovna borba? Jedan protiv sto, ili možda jedan protiv hiljadu. 
 
Neću ulaziti duboko u to koliko je vještačka inteligencija, koja prati tvoje aktivnosti, sposobna da te kontroliše i tobom manipuliše. Često te poznaje bolje nego što ti poznaješ sebe. To danas nije toliko ni teško jer mi mislimo da sve bolje poznajemo sebe, a zar nije suprotno? Zar nas sva tehnologija ne odvraća od toga, otežava nam da upoznamo sebe? Onda joj i nije ni toliko teško da te savlada. Ovo nije kritika tehnologije, ovo je kritika meni i tebi koji je koristimo tako da ona upravlja nama, a ne mi njom. Dok god mi upravljamo njom raspolagaćemo brojnim benefitima koje nam pruža. Budi svjestan toga, neka ti to bude uvijek u mislima. Zašto sada ne uzmeš telefon i pogledaš koliko vremena trošiš za društvene mreže? Da li si iznenađen. Ja sam bio i to prilično.
 

<h3>Drugi dio - opasna riječ </h3>
Moram ti poslati još jednu poruku koji želim da osjetiš, analiziraš i budeš je svjestan. Da li koristiš aplikaciju Facebook i koliko čitaš komentare na ovoj platformi? Možda je i ne koristiš jer više nije u trendu (to me raduje). Da li čitaš ili možda postavljaš komentare na portalima? Uočavaš li nešto upečatljivo? Izazivaju li te neki komentari da i ti iznosiš svoj stav, da uđeš u raspravu? Čini li ti se da razne objave koje pratiš na društvenim mrežama mijenjaju tvoju prirodu? Uočavamo li nevjerovatan broj uvrjedljivih komentara koji se tu javljaju, a što dosta zabrinjava je što dosta tih komentara ostaje trajno vidljivo. Neko će možda reći da je to sloboda govora, da svako ima pravo da iznosi svoje mišljenje bez toga oće li za njega preuzeti neku odgovornost. Šta kad takvi komentari krenu da se sele u realnost? Da li se brka realno i virtuelno? Da li je to što sam tamo iznio potpuno odvojeno od onoga što sprovodim u realnom okruženju? Zašto neko ko ne smije da iznese nešto javno, to iznosi virtuelno i to tako vješto? Zašto neko nije ista osoba u realnosti i virtuealno? Zar ne bi trebalo da se virtuelno integriše u realno? Puno teških pitanja. Ovim porukama ti skrećem pažnju na nevjerovatno prisutnu mržnju i negativne emocije koje su jako rasprostranjene u komentarima na portalima, a tu se posebno ističe Facebook. Moje mišljenje je da se kroz Facebook platformu širi nevjerovatan stepen negativnosti koji se vrlo slabo kontroliše. 
Jedno istraživanje (izvor) koje je rađeno u Americi opisaju drastičan rast polarizacije u stavovima među glasačima republikacana i demokrata. Taj rascjep postaje sve očigledniji od trenutna pojave i razvoja društvenih mreža. Korelacija ne izgleda da je slučajna već prilično jasna. Rast broja korisnika na društvenim mrežama i razvoj ovih platformi doveo je do rasta polarizacije u društvu u SAD. Kada bismo sproveli slično istraživanje u našem regionu pretpostavljam da bi zaključci bili slično. Danas je moguće iznositi gotovo bilo šta, vrijeđati po bilo kom osnovi i na kraju ništa. Ali zar to ne ostavlja posledice? Zar ne transformiše neke slabije persone? Osjećam se jako iziritirano kada vidim šta je sve dostupno korisnicima ove platforme kada otvorim komentare. U ovom dijelu ne želim govoriti i o reakcijama koje se ostavljaju na komentare i vijesti i o lažnim vijestima. Koliko su tek ovi problemi opasani, i koliko je slaba zaštita uskoro ćemo saznati, a već i danas po malo saznajemo. 
 
Pa šta da radimo? Koje je rješenje, ima li ga uopšte? Ja to ne znam ali pokušavam da budem toga svjestan. Možda smo već izgubili, a da to još ne uočavamo. Možda sam previše subjektivan, pesimističan. Možda se uošte ne slažeš sa ovim što sam pisao. 
 
<h3>Zaključak</h3>
Kako je digitalna antropologija prilično mlada oblast, mislim da upravo serija “Black Mirror”, film “Social Dilemma” zajedno sa knjigom “Digital anthropology” i još mnogim sadržajima sličnog tipa doprinose da bolje razumijemo prirodu čovjeka u relaciji sa mašinom. Jasno je koliko je ovo izazovno, i da će razumijevanje ovih veza drastično uticati no mijenjanje ljudske prirode, kulture, i sve što prati ove pojmove. Kako nam je danas sve više važna filozofija, tako nam postaje sve važnija i antropologija, koja treba da nam velikom dijelom pomogne u prevazilaženju savremenih poteškoća. Možemo li da vidimo koliko je antropologija, filozofija i etika bitna u spajanju virtuelnog i stvarnog svijeta? Informatika, posebno vještačka inteligencija, vapi za antropologijom, filozofijom, etikom. Da li se, ako si informatičar, trudimo da razvijamo alate za stvaranje benefita kod ljudi? Ili to (skoro) svi radi stvaranja što većeg profita? Našem savremenom društvu nikad više nije nedostajalo filozofije. Nema je dovoljno. Ko je kriv? Možda smo i mi informatičari krivi za to. Ulazimo previše u tehničke detalje, zanatski radimo ono što se od nas traži, a suština se ne analizira. Ne analizira se da li će to što pravim donijeti benefite društvu, pojedincu, već je fokus preusmjeren na ispunjenju funkcionalnih zahtjeva. Što kvalitetnije i brže ispuniti zadate ciljeve. Možda trebamo razmisliti kako da pomognemo mladima, studentima, filozofiji, podsticaj za stvaranje humanijeg društva. 
Tehnologija je dobar sluga, ali loš gospodar. Toga trebamo biti bar malo svijesniji.

The Montenegrin AI Association (MAIA) is the result of the joint effort of several individuals, from scientists to engineers to students, bound and motivated by a matching dedication, passion, and love for artificial intelligence, science, and education. In this post, we put forward motivation, vision and future endeavours of MAIA.

 
<h2>Our Mission</h2>
 

Artificial intelligence (AI) finds a place in all aspects of our lives. However, the general public has very little understanding of the advantages, but also the potential misuse of this technology in everyday life. AI, one of the sub-fields of computer science, has been studied at many world universities for many years, and has recently been part of the curriculum at Montenegrin universities as well. We are witnessing the accelerated growth of this science, both in terms of the number of innovative scientific works and the number of great practical applications. However, people who are already involved in artificial intelligence, either through academia or industry, are often not familiar with the work of their colleagues. It undoubtedly represents one big barrier to creating a community. So we miss out on all the opportunities that a supportive community offers.
All of this made us wonder, is there anything we can do? The answer is, of course, positive! Therefore, full of enthusiasm and desire to create something useful, we gather the community. Welcome!

 

Through our activities, we wish to bring together people from Montenegro, experts in the field of computer science, primarily artificial intelligence. Our mission is to cultivate acquaintances and collaborations for the joint contribution to the development of one of the fastest growing technologies. Also, in this way, we want to lend a hand to our young people, undergraduate and master's students in Montenegro and abroad. They are the future of our society, that's why we place special emphasis on the educational aspect of artificial intelligence.

 
<h2>Acquaintances lead to progress</h2>
 

Montenegro, the Netherlands, Austria, France, Poland, Germany, Switzerland are just some of the countries where our people work, study, research and innovate in the field of artificial intelligence. However, a large number simply never had the opportunity and pleasure to meet their male and female colleagues. Our hope is that MAIA will allow all of us, who share the same passion, to get to know each other, that it will lead to many fruitful collaborations, fun projects, as well as long-lasting friendships. Collaborations between institutes around the world, as well as between industry organizations, are very common, and MAIA aims to facilitate and encourage such endeavors. Also, we will work together on projects that will have a direct impact on the lives of people throughout Montenegro, projects that will help with everyday obligations, jobs and problems. Artificial intelligence is a technology that is rapidly changing the entire world. We believe that it is time for Montenegro to become part of that change.

 

<h2>Investing in the Future</h2>
 

MAIA firmly believes in the power of knowledge and education and their potential to achieve incredible feats. This is exactly what supports our desire to contribute to the education of young people who are motivated to approach the field of artificial intelligence as well as its diverse applications.
As a first step on this path, we will try to regularly use our blog platform to spread news, opportunities, ideas and projects. It will be of great importance to students and other interested individuals in their further training and progress.
 
Also, within our communication platform, we will organize regular focus reading groups, where modern scientific works, achievements and currently unsolved problems will be discussed, all with the aim of understanding, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of ideas.
 
The next major step will be the organization of a summer research school, which will give undergraduate and master's students the opportunity to be exposed to the modern fields of artificial intelligence through an intensive combination of theoretical and practical lectures and exercises, and which will represent a perfect opportunity for new acquaintances, friendships and intellectual conversations.
Of course, we also plan to organize research events, workshops and conferences where local and visiting foreign lecturers would have the opportunity to meet, share their inspiring projects, exchange ideas and start collaborations.
 

<h2>Next Steps</h2>
Although we are at the very beginning of building the MAIA organization, many things are already very much set in motion. We will use our web platform as the main means of communication with the public, while our Slack platform will serve as a place for internal interaction. Montenegrin AI Association (MAIA) je rezultat zajedničkog truda više pojedinaca, od naučnika preko inženjera, do studenata uvezanih i motivisanih poklapajućom predanosti, strasti, i ljubavi prema vještačkoj inteligenciji, nauci i edukaciji. Cilj ovog teksta je da predstavi motivaciju, viziju i predstojeće aktivnosti MAIA organizacije. 

 
<h2> Naša Misija</h2>
 

Vještačka inteligencija (Artificial intelligence, AI) pronalazi mjesto u svim aspektima naših života. Ipak, šira javnost ima veoma malo razumijevanja o prednostima, ali i potencijalnom zloupotrebom ove tehnologije u svakodnevnom životu. AI, jedna od pod-oblasti računarskih nauka, se izučava na mnogim svjetskim univerzitetima vec dugi niz godina, a od skoro je dio nastravnog programa i na crnogorskim univerzitetima. Svjedoci smo ubrzanog rasta ove nauke, kako u pogledu broja inovativnih naučnih radova, tako i u broju sjajnih praktičnih primjena. Međutim, ljudi koji se već bave vještačkom inteligencijom, bilo kroz akademiju ili industriju, često nisu upoznati sa radom svojih kolega i koleginica. To nesumnjivo predstavlja jednu veliku barijeru za stvaranje zajednice. Dakle, propuštamo sve prilike koje jedna podržavajuća zajednica nudi. 
Sve ovo nas je natjeralo da se zapitamo, da li postoji nešto što mi možemo da uradimo? Odgovor je, naravno, pozitivan! Stoga, puni entuzijazma i želje da napravimo nešto korisno, okupljamo zajednicu. Dobro došli! 
 

Kroz naša djelovanja, želja nam je da uvežemo ljude iz Crne Gore, stručnjake u oblasti računarskih nauka, prvenstveno vještačke inteligencije. Naša misija je da njegujemo poznanstva i kolaboracije radi zajedničkog doprinosa razvoju jedne od najbrže rastućih tehnologija. Takođe, ovim putem želimo da pružimo ruku našim mladim ljudima, studentima osnovnih i master studija u Crnoj Gori i inostranstvu. Oni su su budućnosti našeg društva, upravo zato stavljamo poseban akcenat na edukativni aspekt vještačke inteligencije.

 
<h2> Poznanstvima do napretka </h2>
 

Crna Gora, Holandija, Austrija, Francuska, Poljska, Njemačka, Švajcarska samo su neke države u kojima naši ljudi rade, studiraju, istražuju i inoviraju u oblasti vještačke inteligencije. Međutim, veliki broj jednostavno nikada nije imao priliku i zadovoljstvo da upozna svoje kolege i koleginice. Naša nada je da će MAIA omogućiti svima nama, koji dijelimo istu strast,da se upoznamo, da će dovesti do mnogih plodnih saradnji, zabavnih projekata, kao i dugotrajnih prijateljstava. Saradnje među institutima širom svijeta, kao i među industrijskim organizacijama su veoma česta pojava, i MAIA upravo ima za cilj da olakša i ohrabri ovakve poduhvate. Takođe, zajedničkim snagama ćemo raditi na projektima koji će imati direktan uticaj na život ljudi širom Crne Gore, projektima koji će pomagati u svakodnevnim obavezama, poslovima i problemima. Vještačka inteligencija je tehnologija koja ogromnom brzinom mijenja cio svijet. Smatramo da je vrijeme da i Crna Gora postane dio te promjene.
 

<h2> Ulaganje u Budućnost </h2>
 

MAIA čvrsto vjeruje u moć znanja i edukacije kao i njihov potencijal za postizanje nevjerovatnih poduhvata. Upravo to podupire našu želju da doprinesemo edukaciji mladih ljudi koji su motivisani da pristupe oblasti vještačke inteligencije kao i njenim raznolikim primjenama. 
Kao prvi korak na tome putu, trudićemo se da redovno koristimo našu blog platformu kako bi proširili novosti, prilike, ideje i projekte. To će biti od velikog značaja studente i ostale zainteresovane pojedince u njihovom daljem usavršavanju i napretku. 
 
Takođe, unutar naše komunikacione platforme, organizovaćemo redovne fokus čitalačke grupe, gdje će se obrađivati savremeni naučni radovi, postignuća i trenutno neriješeni problemi, sve u cilju razumijevanja, dijeljenja znanja kao i potpore razvoja ideja. 
 
Sledeći krupniji korak će biti organizovanje ljetnje istraživačke škole koja će studentima osnovnih i master studija dati priliku da se islože savremenim oblastima vještačke inteligencije kroz intezivan spoj teorijskih i praktičnih predavanja i vježbi i koja će predstavljati savršenu priiku za nova poznanstva, druženja i intelektualne konverzacije. 
Naravno, imamo i u planu organizaciju istraživačkih događaja, radionica i konferencija na kojima bi domaći, ali i gostujući strani predavači imali priliku da se upoznaju, podijele svoje inspirativne projekte, razmjene ideje i započnu kolaboracije.
 

<h2> Sledeći Koraci </h2>
Iako se nalazimo na samom početku građenja MAIA organizacije, mnoge stvari su već uveliko u pokretu. Koristićemo našu web platformu kao glavno sredstvo komunikacije sa javnošću, dok će naša Slack platforma služiti kao mjesto interne interakcije. Trenutno smo u procesu okupljanja svih zainteresovanih ljudi, tako da ako vi želite (ili znate nekoga ko bi možda želio/željela) da postanete dio MAIA organizacije i prati naš dalji razvoj, registracioni formular je dostupan na ovome <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/u/4/d/e/1FAIpQLSfzU97Vb_0srCzo8pbQLyLuSlvUrIn-mAe4XU3GeQDSGw-1Gg/viewform" target="_blank"> linku </a>. U zavisnosti od broja zainteresovanih ljudi za pojedine oblasti, planiramo da počnemo sa redovnim čitalačkim grupnim sastancima, gdje ćemo diskutovati interesantne radove, projekte i dijeliti ideje. Takođe, neke interesantne teme kao i obrade projekata koji mogu pozitivno uticati na život ljudi, a da su na neki način povezani sa vještačkom inteligencijom biće objavljeni na našem blogu. Ostale novosti vezane za organizaciju većih događaja, kao što su seminari, radionice, ljetnje škole i konferencije će biti blagovremeno komunicirane.
 

<h2> So it Begins </h2>
 
Sigurni smo da će MAIA zajednica pomoći u promociji vještačke inteligencije, njenih pozitivnih ipraktičnih primjena, edukaciji mladih kao i umrežavanju naših stručnjaka širom svijeta. Ova zajednica ima ogroman potencijal, i mi ćemo se potruditi da damo naš mali doprinos koji će Crnu Goru staviti na AI mapu kako Balkana, tako i cijeloga svijeta.

Welcome to the first AI organization in Montenegro!

OxML schools are organized by AI for Global Goals and in partnership with CIFAR and the University of Oxford's Deep Medicine Program. 
It is a recurring event that takes place both online and at the University of Oxford and gathers thousands of participants from all around the world.
 
Two of our MAIA members have already participated in this school and here are their impressions:
 
Elma: “Oxford Summer School Machine learning in Healthcare was a unique experience for me. I got a fantastic opportunity to meet and listen to lectures from outstanding researchers from all around the world. It was quite encouraging and motivating for me as a PhD student to see many successful professors and students sharing their passion and enthusiasm about the impact of AI in Healthcare.”

Similar to past schools, OxML 2023 will cover some of the most important topics in machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) that the field is showing a growing interest in (e.g., statistical/probabilistic ML, representation learning, reinforcement learning, causal inference, vision & NLP, geometrical DL, ...) and their applications in sustainable development goals (SDGs).
 
Their 2023's program consists of multiple schools such as MLx Health, MLx Finance, NLP, MLx Cases, ML Fundamentals, MLx Products, MLx Ops, etc. OxML Health and Finance schools will take place at the University of Oxford's Mathematical Institute between 8-16 July, and will follow a hybrid format (i.e., participants can choose to attend online or in-person).

OxML 2023!

During this course students will learn how to implement deep learning models for real situations on their local machines, key mathematical concepts of deep learning, some key concepts about computer vision and natural language processing.
 
In the second part of the training, students will learn about high-performance computing in the development of deep learning applications, parallel computing using the Python language on multiple CPUs or GPUs, and the pyTorch library for developing deep learning models. The course starts with guest lectures at the end of November so you need to express your interest as soon as possible. The course is followed by students of the Master AI program at UDG, but also by students of other programs who express an interest in it. Lectures are open to academia, industry and the public sector.
 
Recommended prerequisites for successfully attending lectures are: good knowledge of algorithms and mathematics, knowledge of at least one programming language (Python is preferred), basic knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC), basic knowledge and interest in artificial intelligence, knowledge of the English language.
